I trained at what used to be the old Borough Road West London University which is now known as Brunel University. I did a 4 Year teaching degree and graduated in 2001. My first teaching job was at a Sports College in Croydon which was fantastic grounding for what I do now. Due to house prices and that Leicester is so lovely! I relocated to the Loughborough area. I got my second teaching job at Longslade Community College and have never looked back. I was head of girls PE and then head of department before I was appointed as Partnership Development Manager for the South Charnwood School Sport Partnership in April 2005. I love the challenge which now faces me.

I play hockey for Leicester Ladies and we are currently in Midlands’s Premier Division. I go to the gym when I am not too busy (so not that often). I love all sports and will relax either by watching or taking part, the latest sport to take my fancy is golf with a modest handicap of 28!!

I qualified as a PE Teacher from Bedford College of HE in 198....., and took up a post at Wreake Valley CC the same year. I have occupied a number of roles within the PE Department, including Head of Department, and am now Head of Girl's PE and an SSCo. I have a very strong background in hockey, having played Internationally for a number of years, as well as being a memeber of Leicester Hockey Club for over 30 years! I no longer run around on the pitch, but am currently the First team Manager - it's much easier from the sideline, but extremely frustrating! I'm also into golf, having taken it up when I retired from International hockey, and if I say so myself - I'm not too bad! Unfortunately, I'm not quite good enough to make a living out of it, so I'll have to continue doing this job for a few more years!

I graduated from Loughborough University in 2006 with a PE PGCE. Having decided to stay in the area I took a teaching post at Roundhill Community College, luckily for me I was offered the opportunity to combine teaching with the position of School Sports Coordinator, which I have enjoyed ever since.
Outside of work, sport continues to be a massive part of my life, with an interest in football managing to occupy the majority of my non-working hours, whether it be training up and down the country persuing my playing career with OOH Lincoln Ladies or my passionate support of Manchester United.
I'm here to help where ever possible so please do not hesitate to contact me.

Married to Chela, we have a baby boy called Finlay and a new baby on the way.

Passions; Family, Job and Middlesbrough FC. I have finally settled in Leicester (not sure why?) and have been here for five years now, but I am not letting the southernism rub off on me too severely! My education has been spread around the country, including Middlesbrough, Chester, Liverpool and Bedford, all of which has been focused upon Physical Education and Sports Science. My current job of teaching and being a school sports coordinator is great and fulfils my early ambitions to be in such a role. Looking forward to working with you all soon and moving school sport upwards and onwards together.
